Biography

About Eric

Eric Williams is head of capital structure and a senior portfolio manager on the global fixed income team at Northern Trust Asset Management. He has broad oversight of our actively managed leveraged credit platform and is the lead portfolio manager on several leveraged credit strategies across the firm.

Eric is also a member of the Fixed Income Strategy Committee, a group that formulates the fixed income platform’s strategic macroeconomic and investment themes that in turn informs overall strategy, risk budgeting and portfolio construction across all fixed income portfolios. In addition, Eric serves as the chair of the Credit Strategy Committee and Capital Structure Committee, groups that formulate the fixed income platform's capital structure asset allocation decisions. He has more than 12 years of experience in fixed income asset management.

Eric earned an MBA with a concentration in finance and economics from The University of Chicago and an undergraduate degree in economics.
