Kurt Stoeber is vice president and fixed income portfolio manager at Northern Trust Asset Management in Chicago. He is a senior member of the U.S. liquidity team, part of global fixed income, which manages taxable and tax advantaged cash portfolios. Liquidity management strategies include money market mutual funds (both U.S. and offshore), short-term investment funds (STIF), and separately-managed accounts (SMA).

With almost 35 years in the industry, Kurt has a deep understanding of the capital markets and significant experience in fixed income investing. As a member of the NTAM liquidity portfolio management team, he manages money market mutual funds, while continuing to provide his expertise across all liquidity strategies.

Prior to joining Northern Trust Asset Management in 2000, Kurt worked for a large institutional bank’s capital markets department where his roles included the trading and underwriting of fixed income investments. After completing his MBA, as well as a capital markets rotational program, his roles included private placements and commercial banking.

Kurt earned an MBA from University of Illinois at Chicago and a BS in finance from Illinois State University. He served the in the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1990.
