Biography
About Lyenda
Lyenda Simpson Delp is head of the global institutional client group for Northern Trust Asset Management. She is a member of the Asset Management Executive Group and is responsible for the strategic direction and commercial success of NTAM’s institutional businesses in the Americas, as well as Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC) regions.
Lyenda is an accomplished asset management industry leader. Before joining Northern Trust, Lyenda held a number of client-focused leadership roles during her 15-year tenure at BlackRock, including head of the financial institutions group (FIG) for the Americas where she was integral to the buildout of the insurance business and managing transformational client relationships. Prior to BlackRock, she was most recently a client portfolio manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management for the outsourced chief investment officer team. Earlier in her career, Lyenda was a management consultant at Deloitte Consulting and she began her career as a management associate and credit analyst at Workers Bank.
Lyenda earned an MBA with concentrations in finance, marketing and strategy from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree from The University of the West Indies. Currently, she serves as chair of the Business Board of Advisors at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and secretary of the board of directors for the American Foundation for The University of the West Indies.
